Welcome to WishHive ("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application WishHive (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1.1 Personal Information You Provide

When you create an account and use the App, we may collect the following information that you voluntarily provide:

• Account Information: Name, email address, username, and profile photo.
• Authentication Data: Login credentials (email/password or Google Sign-In token). Passwords are securely handled by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text.
• Wishlist Content: Hive (category) names, wish item names, product descriptions, prices, links, notes, and images you upload.
• Social Information: Friend connections, friend requests sent and received, and display names of friends.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for push notification delivery and analytics.
• Usage Data: App interactions and feature usage patterns to improve the user experience.
• Crash Reports: Error logs and stack traces to diagnose and fix bugs (collected via Firebase Crashlytics).

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

• Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo URL from Google.
• Shared Content: When you share content from other apps (e.g., Amazon, Blinkit) to WishHive, we process the shared URL, text, and images to create a wish item.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 With Other Users (Based on Your Privacy Settings)

• Public Hives: Visible to all WishHive users.
• Friends-Only Hives: Visible only to your approved friends.
• Specific Viewers: Visible only to users you explicitly select.
• Private Hives: Visible only to you.
• Wish Fulfillment: When a friend marks a wish as fulfilled, their name is shown to you (the wish owner).

3.2 With Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

4. Data Storage & Security

4.1 Where Your Data is Stored

• Cloud: Account data, wishlists, and friend connections are stored in Google Cloud Firestore servers.
• Device (Local): Wish images may be temporarily stored on your device before being uploaded to the cloud. A local cache is maintained for offline functionality.
• Firebase Storage: Uploaded images are stored in Firebase Storage (Google Cloud).

4.2 Security Measures

• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth with industry-standard security.
• Firebase App Check is enabled to prevent unauthorized API access.
• Firestore Security Rules ensure users can only access their own data and data shared with them.
• Images are compressed before upload to minimize data storage.
• Passwords are never stored in plain text — Firebase uses bcrypt hashing.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights & Choices

5.1 Access & Update

You can view and update your profile information (name, username, profile photo) at any time through the Settings page in the App.

5.2 Delete Your Data

• Delete Individual Wishes/Hives: You can delete any wish or hive at any time from the App.
• Delete Your Account: You may request complete account deletion by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, we will remove all your personal data, wishlists, friend connections, and uploaded images from our servers within 30 days.

5.3 Manage Permissions

• Contacts Permission: You can revoke contacts access at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → WishHive → Permissions.
• Privacy Settings: You control the visibility of each hive (Public, Private, Friends, Specific).
• Mute Friends: You can mute friends to hide their activity from your feed without removing them.

5.4 Opt-Out

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App. To delete data already collected, contact us to request account deletion.

6. Children's Privacy

WishHive is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will promptly delete such information.

The App may contain links to external websites (e.g., product links from Amazon, Flipkart, or other e-commerce sites added by users). 8. Offline Data & Local Storage

WishHive supports offline functionality through Firebase's local data persistence. This means:

• A copy of your wishlists is cached locally on your device for offline access.
• Images may be stored locally before background upload to the cloud.
• Local data is automatically synced with the cloud when an internet connection is restored.
• Uninstalling the App removes all locally cached data from your device.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own (including the United States, where Google's Firebase servers are located). By using WishHive, you agree to the following terms:

1. Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others.
2. Acceptable Use: You agree not to use the App for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes. Content you upload must not violate any laws or infringe on third-party rights.
3. User Content: You retain ownership of all content you create (wishlists, images, notes). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it as necessary to provide the service.
4. Friend Interactions: When you add a friend, they can view your non-private hives and fulfill your wishes. You can control visibility through privacy settings and remove friends at any time.
5. Wish Fulfillment: The wish fulfillment feature is informational only. WishHive does not facilitate purchases or transactions between users. We are not responsible for any gifts, promises, or transactions between users.
6. Shared Content: When you share product links from other apps to WishHive, we extract metadata (title, image, price) to create wish items. We do not affiliate with or endorse any e-commerce platform.
7. Service Availability: We strive to keep WishHive available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect service.
